Copy.ai started as a copywriting tool and has moved toward GTM workflow automation. The writing side still works well for sales outreach and short marketing copy; the workflow side lets you chain steps into reusable pipelines. The free tier is unusually usable, which is both the appeal and the catch: people build a habit on it and then hit the seat and usage limits.
Who it is for
A sales or growth team that needs high-volume outreach copy and wants to automate the pipeline rather than write one blog post.
Key features
- Workflow builder that chains prompts into repeatable pipelines
- Brand voice profiles applied across outputs
- Bulk generation for outreach sequences
- Integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier
- Infodata enrichment for contact lists
Where it falls short
The move toward workflow automation has left the writing templates feeling like legacy surface area, and the builder assumes a sales process you may not have.
Pricing
Free plan covers a single user with limited workflow runs. Paid tiers run roughly $36 to $186 a month and the jump is mostly about seats and workflow volume, not output quality. The trap is that 'unlimited words' plans still cap workflow runs.
Prices move; the tier structure is the part that stays true. Check current pricing on Copy.ai.
